Independent Living

Who is Independent Living designed for?

Independent Living is designed for adults who manage their own daily personal care and would enjoy fewer household responsibilities, convenient services, and opportunities to connect with others. It does not include the personal care services provided in Assisted Living.

What types of residences are available?

We offer studios, apartments, and cottages. Layouts, included services, and availability vary. Our team can help you compare residences and find an option that suits your preferences. View floor plans.

Can I maintain my own routines and independence?

Yes. Independent Living supports your privacy, choices, and daily routines. You decide how you spend your day and how much you participate in community activities.

Are meals included?

Dining arrangements vary by residence type. Our team will explain the meal plan included with the studio, apartment, or cottage you are considering, along with options for additional meals and guests.

What happens if I begin needing help with personal care?

Please let our team know when your needs change. We can discuss whether an assessment for Assisted Living or another care setting would be appropriate. A transition depends on your needs, admission criteria, and available accommodations.

Are pets welcome?

Pets are welcome in our Independent Living residences, subject to community requirements. Please discuss your pet with our team before moving in so we can explain any applicable conditions, fees, and care responsibilities.

Assisted Living

When might Assisted Living be appropriate?

Assisted Living may be appropriate when tasks such as bathing, dressing, managing medications, or moving safely become more difficult. An assessment helps us understand the support needed and whether our community can meet those needs.

What assistance is available?

Assisted Living offers 24-hour staffing, meals, housekeeping, activities, and assistance with daily personal care based on assessed needs. Our team will explain the specific services available and how they are reflected in the resident’s care plan and fees.

Is help with medications available?

Medication assistance is available based on an assessment and the resident’s prescribed regimen. Before admission, our care team will review the medication information and explain the support we can provide and any related charges.

How is a resident’s care plan developed?

Our care team reviews the resident’s needs, routines, preferences, and relevant medical information, with input from the resident and their chosen support people. This helps us develop an individualized plan that supports independence while providing appropriate assistance.

Can care services change over time?

Yes. Residents’ needs are reassessed as appropriate. Our team discusses recommended changes in support and associated charges with the resident and authorized representative. If a resident needs services beyond what we can provide, we will discuss other care options.

Does Assisted Living provide the same care as Skilled Nursing?

These settings provide different types of support. Assisted Living focuses on daily personal care and assistance. Skilled Nursing provides nursing and clinical services for people who need that level of care. Our team can help explain which setting may be appropriate.

Memory Care

Does Lincoln Glen Manor care for people with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia?

Yes. Our Memory Care neighborhood, Sunshine Alley, supports people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. An assessment helps determine whether our setting and available services are appropriate for the individual.

What makes Memory Care different from Assisted Living?

Sunshine Alley offers a secured ground-floor setting, staff trained to support people living with dementia, and activities and routines adapted to residents’ needs. Care emphasizes dignity, familiarity, meaningful engagement, and individual preferences.

How do you get to know a new Memory Care resident?

We encourage residents and families to share familiar routines, interests, meaningful relationships, and approaches that help the person feel comfortable. This information helps our team personalize care and engagement.

Can families visit and participate in community life?

Yes. We welcome family involvement and opportunities to share meaningful time together. Our team can explain visiting arrangements, check-in procedures, and ways to participate in activities with your loved one.

How are changes in a resident’s needs addressed?

Please share any changes or concerns with the care team. We review the resident’s needs and discuss appropriate adjustments with the resident’s authorized representative. Continued placement depends on whether we can meet the resident’s needs in this setting.

Skilled Nursing and Continuing Care

What services does Skilled Nursing provide?

Our Skilled Nursing Facility provides nursing care and clinical support based on each resident’s assessed needs and care plan. The Skilled Nursing admissions team can explain available services and admission requirements for your situation.

Is nursing staff available around the clock?

Our Skilled Nursing Facility provides 24-hour nursing services. Please speak with the Skilled Nursing team about the staffing and clinical support appropriate to your needs.

Are rehabilitation services available?

Our Skilled Nursing team can discuss physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, including whether they are appropriate and available for a prospective resident. Services depend on individual needs and the care plan.

Are short-term or respite stays available?

We understand how valuable temporary support can be. Please speak with our Director of Skilled Nursing about respite care, current openings, eligibility, length-of-stay requirements, and payment arrangements.

Can spouses live on campus if they need different levels of care?

Our campus offers options for couples whose needs differ. For example, one spouse may live in Independent Living while the other receives support in another setting. Each person’s placement depends on their needs, admission criteria, and availability.

Is there a special Independent Living rate for spouses?

Yes! A special $3,000 monthly rate is available for qualifying Independent Living residents whose spouse lives in a higher level of care at Lincoln Glen Manor. The offer applies to Independent Living studios and one-bedroom apartments only, and spaces are limited. Please contact our team for current availability and details.

Is a move to another level of care guaranteed?

A move to another care setting requires review of the resident’s needs, the receiving setting’s admission requirements, and available accommodations. We encourage early conversations so residents and families can explore options and plan ahead.
