Residents choose to live in CCRCs for a variety of reasons. They want to be near family, to avoid being a burden on their children, and to feel certain that their needs will be met in a caring community of friendly residents and reliable, kindly staff members and volunteers. They may want to participate in a wide variety of social activities. They need the physical, mental and spiritual security that a CCRC can provide. They also want assurance that they will receive increased levels of care as their needs change. Part independent living, part assisted living and part skilled nursing home, CCRCs offer the range of care that seniors need as they age. The CCRC allows residents to move into a new level of care, but continue to live in a comfortable, familiar setting for as long as they need.
Lincoln Glen Continuing Care Retirement Community is unique. Many CCRCs require a “buy-in,” a contract designed to pay for a resident’s care for the duration of their life. This contract can be quite expensive. We do not require a “buy-in” which makes our facilities much more accessible for seniors today. Lincoln Glen is a non-profit that has operated successfully for more than 45 years. We meet the financial stability requirements for CCRCs which ensures that we will be able to support our residents into the future.
