Lincoln Glen Residents Volunteer to Support our Service
Men and Women

Dear Family and Friends
In 2005 we started a program with our residents called
Helping Hands. As you may know, our residents put together packages for servicemen
and women overseas and Operation Care and Comfort delivers them for us.
On Friday, September 2nd, a man walks in to our building and says he was stationed in
Afghanistan about 10 years ago and received a care package with a note from our residents.
He shares with us that he is back living in Gilroy now and wanted to say "thank you."
The note was in pristine condition. Although the residents listed have all passed away,
the residents who are currently participating in the activity were over the top ecstatic!
Below you will find some photos with a few of our residents and Commander Joseph Hutchinson, USN
(Retired). It was one of the best days ever!
